Giving Back in Spades
At Buckets Early Learning Centre we are privileged to share in the responsibility for the education and development of children and to partner with our families to encourage children to participate in a broad range of positive experiences. Unfortunately, we recognise that there are many children who do not get to enjoy this same journey.
It is our philosophy that all children should be afforded an opportunity to grow, learn and cultivate positive life experiences. Since Buckets Early Learning Centre was founded, we have always followed this prevailing principle of giving back to the communities in which we work.
We welcome special members of the greater community to visit our centres and talk with our children and educators so that we can better understand and appreciate the notion that many small contributions will accumulate and make a large difference.
We provide support to a range of organisations, including:
The Royal Children’s Hospital – supporting the healthcare needs of children
SIDS and Kids – supporting medical research into stillbirth, SIDS and safe sleeping practices as well as evidence-based community education to prevent these deaths
The Smith Family Toy and Book Appeal – supporting the view that all children should share in the excitement of receiving a Christmas gift
The Nappy Collective – supporting the hygiene needs of children living in crisis centres and women’s shelters.
